Biography

Yukinori Sato is an Associate Professor at Toyohashi University of Technology in Japan. His research interests lie in the broad area of computer architecture and systems; high performance computing and programming, domain-specific system design, compilation and code optimization for custom computing, and software tool chains for parallelism discovery and performance tuning. He received the Ph.D. degree on Information Sciences from Tohoku University. From 2006, he joined a fab-less LSI design start-up company and engaged in software engineering toward proprietary ASIC chips and systems. From 2007, he served as an Assistant Professor at Japan Advanced Institute of Technology. In 2015, he moved to Tokyo Institute of Technology as a Specially Appointed Associate Professor (Lecturer). Since 2018, he is with Toyohashi University of Technology and leads "Computer Systems and Performance Engineering Lab". He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society, the ACM, the IEICE and the Information Processing Society of Japan. During 2018-2022, he holds an additional post as a researcher of PRESTO, JST (Japan Science and Technology Corporation). Since 2021, he is a visiting researcher of Center for Computational Science, RIKEN.
